Hillcrest is a Level II Trauma Center, the second highest trauma rating a hospital can receive. We are ready to handle any emergency from a simple cut to life-threatening injuries.

The Hillcrest Hospital Chest Pain Center provides intensive cardiac treatment within our highly specialized Emergency Department, Level II Trauma Center.

The Pain Center offers an independent cardiologist on call 24-hours-a-day, seven days a week. Our specially trained medical staff will make an evaluation, admission or discharge determination within four hours, provide bedside monitoring and perform established treatment protocols.

As an emergency department, we see patients according to the severity of illness or injury. Most routine blood tests and x-rays require time for processing. Some medical problems require an observation period and while some patients respond quickly to medication or treatment, other do not. Also, it may tike time to reach a patient's private physician regarding treatment. All of these factors can make an emergency visit seem longer; but it's important that we give patient's as much time as needed to provide proper care.

Emergency and trauma service charges can be paid by Medicare, Medicaid, prepaid health plans and commercial insurance coverage. If you have questions regarding hospital charges, please call the Hillcrest Hospital billing office at 216.636.8500.
